MISSION STATEMENT

The mission and vision of the JPMCI leadership team, (which includes pastors, elders, deacons and staff) is to grow a church, a company of believers, that will affect our community, our region, our nation and our world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

This church is growing through evangelizing, making disciples, and training people for leadership in every realm of service and ministry to the glory of God.

Through our local ministries, outreach ministries, special services, and events we see the Great Commission being fulfilled.

The message of JPMCI is the New Testament Gospel through Jesus Christ; the new covenant through Jesus. Salvation, healing, prosperity and grace through faith in Him. Loving our world and reaching our world through aggressive Christian living.

The spirit of JPMCI is faith, praise, teaching, and growth.

VISION STATEMENT

The vision the Lord entrusted to Bishop Isaiah Williams was a tremendous vision, one that he accepted with a gracious boldness.

The future of Jesus People Ministries Church extends past the establishment of the local church with its various areas of ministry and goes into: a 24 hour prayer and counseling outreach; shelter facilities (for men, women, and the elderly); a school of ministry; Christian preparatory academy; full gospel radio ministry; T.V. Outreach, and evangelical crusade teams.

The overall vision is to utilize every available means to get the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all people groups of the world.

We are reaching lives, training people for God’s Glory and loving every moment of our journey!

We are on course with what God has called us to fulfill on the earth. The vision continues!!

HISTORY

Jesus People Ministries was founded as the Holy Spirit inspired Bishop Isaiah and Dr. Gloria Williams to establish a work of God in the Carol City, recently incorporated Miami Gardens area.
The ministry was officially organized as a non-profit church on September 24, 1982.

The first formal church service was conducted on the third Sunday of January 1983, in the auditorium of Carol City Junior High School in Miami, Florida. The church then moved from Carol City Junior High School to a store front shopping complex and grew from twenty-one members to over three-hundred members. By 1988, Jesus People Ministries Church moved into its third facility in Carol City directly off of Miami’s Palmetto Expressway. Here the Ministry continued to grow and went from facilitating three-hundred members to two-thousand members. The Bible declares… And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. Acts 2:47. As time went on and the Spirit of God continually moved, the vision of God’s man servant Bishop Williams continually enhanced. The church then moved to our central location in the heart of then Carol City now named “Miami Gardens” known as “Jesus People Country”.

BELIEFS

We are confident there is one true and living God, the Creator of all things, All knowing, Eternal Love, the Redeemer of mankind. He has revealed Himself as Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost. St. John 1:1-14.
The Trinity:
We may scripturally speak of the God of Heaven as a trinity, though He is One Lord. God has revealed himself in three distinct persons: each with individual personal attributes, and yet absolutely unified into one. St. John 1:1-14.
The Deity of The Lord Jesus Christ: The Word of God explicitly declares:
  • His virgin birth – Matt. 1:23
  • His sinless life – Heb. 7:26
  • His substitutionary sacrifice on the cross – 1 Cor. 15:3
  • His bodily resurrection from the dead – Matt. 28:6, 1 Cor. 15:4
  • His place at the right hand of God – Acts 2:33
  • His soon coming return – 1 Cor. 15:23
The Baptism with the Holy Ghost:
This being the normal experience of all in the early Christian Church, should be experienced by all in the body of Christ today. With the baptism of the Holy Spirit comes a deeper reverence of God, an overflowing fullness of the Spirit, enduement of power for life and service; a greater love for the mighty things of God. 1 Cor. 12:1-31, Acts 2:43, Acts 8:12-17, Acts 2:42, John 7:37-39.
Speaking with other Tongues:
The physical sign of speaking with other tongues is the first evidence of the baptism of believers with the Holy Ghost. This tongue is not the gift of tongues, it is different in purpose and in use. Acts 2:4, 1 Cor. 12:4-10, 28.
